As we bid farewell to 2024, we’re proud to look back on an incredible year of impactful events where we brought hundreds of Cypriots and friends of Cyprus together. Here are some highlights that made this year unforgettable:
🎤 Engaging Roundtables and Discussions
• Organised a roundtable with His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης – Nikos Christodoulides, where business leaders and investment experts weighed in with their views on the island’s image and opportunities, along with the steps needed to boost confidence among international investors for foreign investment to support the economic development of the island. Thanks to Bank of Cyprus, OEB – Ομοσπονδία Εργοδοτών & Βιομηχάνων, and Deloitte Cyprus for supporting this event.
💼 Career and Professional Development
• Brought students from leading UK universities for a career event offering guidance across Law, Technology, Banking, and Consulting in collaboration with leading Cypriot university societies.
• Engaged with students at our Cyprus event with Photiades Education, focusing on “Breaking into the UK Job Market,” with support from Bank of Cyprus.
• Hosted an insightful session with Deutsche Finance International in Mayfair featuring presentations on real estate private equity.
• Organised a networking event with Cypriot Professionals in London, OEB, Bank of Cyprus, and Deloitte Cyprus, where opportunities to repatriate were presented.
• Our mentoring scheme is in its 5th year running.
🌍 Fostering Investment Opportunities
• Showcased Cyprus’s appeal for Alternative Investment Funds in a London event attended by 120 investment professionals, co-organised with Cyprus Investment Funds Association – CIFA, Invest Cyprus – Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency, and supported by The CISI.
🤝 Strengthening Community Bonds
• Partnered with the ‘Cyprus Medical Society UK’ for a vibrant networking evening that had a charitable purpose.
💻 Celebrating Innovation
• Launched the inaugural CITC – Cypriot Tech Network event, creating a platform for tech enthusiasts to connect and exchange ideas, and welcomed the engineers.
