Roundtable Discussion with The President of the Republic of Cyprus
Cypriots in the City, the largest network of Professional Cypriots in the UK, organised a roundtable discussion on 16 April with The President of the Republic of Cyprus, investors and investment professionals at the Cyprus High Commission in London. President Christodoulides gave an outline of the state of the economy in Cyprus and presented the policy priorities of the Government. President Christodoulides informed the participants on the upcoming reforms in the financial sector in Cyprus and the efforts of the Government for the re-branding of the country. The Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB), Bank of Cyprus and Deloitte Cyprus were co-organisers of this event and presented current opportunities in Cyprus. The Deputy Minister to the President, the Director of the President’s Office and the Government spokesman also attended this event.
Business leaders and investment experts weighed in with their views on the island’s image and opportunities with the steps needed to boost confidence among international investors for foreign investment to support the economic development of the island.
